KENT “A” LOSE TO WEST MIDLANDS IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE ENGLISH INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 2009/2010

West Midlands halted the Kent “A” team's campaign for this season in the semi final. Having lost last season in the semi-finals, Kent “A” again failed to progress to the final losing at the same hurdle. The “A” team finished top of their regional league against East Sussex, Hampshire and West Sussex to qualify for the national knockout stage. In the quarter finals Essex were beaten 24-16 (187 shots – 157 shots) before being beaten by West Midlands 15-25 (162 shots – 187 shots) in the semi finals.

Kent "A" have previously been English "A" County Champions in 2001/02, 2005/06 and 2006/07 and have been losing finalists on four occasions.

The Kent Premier Team finished their 2009/10 campaign at the quarter finals when they lost to Hampshire.

The Kent Premier team came second in their regional league against East Sussex, London and West Sussex to qualify for the national knockout stage. In the preliminary round Worcestershire were beaten 29 - 11 (217 shots – 135 shots) before losing to Hampshire 12-28 (152 shots – 184 shots) in the quarter finals.

Kent have previously been English County Champions in 1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99, 2000/01, 2001/02 and 2002/03 and have been losing finalists on four occasions.
